Are you queer? Do you feel like there isn’t enough niche trans comedy out there? Are you lonely? If yes to at least none of these come by to see a couple of transgender goonies. This show is a sketch dominated variety show talking about some of the lesser mentioned aspects of being trans.
It's Great to be Transgender
Show Program - Cast & Creative Team
Ella Carey
Ella is so excited to be back performing in It's Great to be Transgender on The Annoyance stage! Along with performing, she has also written several plays that have been produced around the city. Her most recent play, Boy Village is currently being adapted into a miniseries scheduled to come out this spring! For updates on her work, follow her Instagram @ellacohencarey
Justin Jacobs
Justin is an actor, writer, composer, and music director based in Chicago. They are the director of Lapse in Judgement, a fully improvised court case show, and a self-aggrandized nerd. Find them after the show to discuss whatever nerd things nerds talk about.
Kenna Bartlett
Kenna (any pronouns) is absolutely stoked to join the incredible cast of IG2BT! They are a Florida-born performer and stage manager, and have worked at venues across Chicago, including The Neo-Futurists, Otherworld Theatre Company, and The Annoyance. Kenna spends their off-time volunteering as an abortion clinic escort, playing D&D and other nerd shit, and stressing that their bio isn’t funny enough for a comedy show.
Maia Rasof
Maia Rasof (She/it/they) is a Transfemme comedian who loves the surreal. Filled with lots of improv, sketch writing, and performing training she's bursting at the seems with hilarity. Excited to present to you a show so transgender it'll burn your eyes and warm your heart. Keep up with her on instagram @maiarasof.
