Al's a new gay in Chicago looking for love in the big city when he bumps into the most beautiful man he's ever seen on the streets of Northalsted one night. Desperate to make his acquaintance, Al follows him into the legendary bathhouse Steamworks. As he makes his way through the maze of jacuzzis, slings, gloryholes, and fuck benches, Al makes a wild group of friends who help him discover what love might really mean when everyone's covered in cum.

Jackson McKenzie Rothmund
Jackson McKenzie Rothmund is a multidisciplinary artist who finds joy in expressing himself through mediums including painting, storytelling, drag, dance, and comedy. He made his Annoyance Theater debut in Steamworks: The Musical in 2023, and is elated to reprise his role as Stephen Stephan for the 2024 run of the show. Nathan Wetter
Nathan is thrilled to a part of Y2K: a 90's Musical and to be working with such a talented group of people. He has been onstage at the Annoyance in Steamworks: the Musical, and other favorite theater credits include Bobby in Company, Brad in The Rocky Horror Show, and Joe Pitt in Angels in America. He holds a B.A. in Drama from Washington University in St. Louis, with a focus in acting and directing. He can't wait for you to see this amazing new work!
Noah Bruckshen
Noah is making their Annoyance debut as Chester in Steamworks The Musical. Born and raised in Seattle Washington, they are entering their senior year at Chicago College Of Performing Arts. They have been trained in improv and clown and have produced written and performed in drag sketch comedy.
Reid Harrison O’Connell
Reid is an actor and performer based in Chicago. He has been seen onstage with Madkap Productions, Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, Violet Sky Theatre, Big Noise Theatre, Theatre at the Center and the Illinois Theatre Center. This is his Annoyance debut.
Ryan Brown
Ryan Brown is a playwright, actor, and director. Having appeared in previous Steamworks productions as Twinkie Dee, Max, and Dwayne, he's excited to return as director. His upcoming production, The Future: the Musical, cowritten with Lauren Reed, will premiere at the Annoyance later this summer. His previous Annoyance production Goodnight, Gladys, cowritten with Greg Lovelace, was voted Chicago Reader's Best New Play of 2023 runner-up.
