Wet Pizza is a long form improv group whose set’s range from grounded slice of life moments to fast-paced goofs and silly characters. The show will feature new opening acts each week from stellar Chicago ensembles and comedians. We look forward to seeing you at the Pizza Party! Starring Allison Flayton, Ben Dohring, Chris Ward, Cory Hardin, Danny Alonso, Elijah Sloan, Heather Mari , Kate Grogan, Kara Kinsey, and Nikk Tetreault.

Ben Dohring
Ben Dohring hails from Buffalo, New York where he spent most of his youth in his bedroom reading Stephen King novels and watching re-runs of King of Queens.He moved to Chicago summer of 2022, taking as many classes as possible at Io, The Annoyance, and Second City. He currently plays with One Star, Double Decker Cow (Formally known as Hot Turkey), and Wet Pizza.His hobbies include: pacing his apartment, listening to The Grateful Dead, watching Ingmar Bergman films, and writing bios.Follow him on instagram @bendohring
Christopher Ward
Chris Ward is an actor/improviser that hails from the land of Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a B.A. in Theatre. Since then he's studied at The Second City and graduated from both the Improv and Musical Improv Conservatory programs. Now he performs with many groups around the city, a few of these include: Wet Pizza, Hooked Up, and Summer Scaries. When he's not performing, you'll find him in the gym trying to obtain the physique of Season 3 Uncle Iroh, drinking too much caffeine, or simply trying to live the pirates' life. He would not be where he is today without the insane support from his family and friends.
Cory Hardin
Cory Hardin is an actor, writer, and director. Film & TV credits include Shirley with Regina King, Tyler Perry's Mea Culpa, and Chicago Fire. He's worked at The Gift Theater, Steep Theater, and Theater Wit. He's a graduate of the School at Steppenwolf, The iO Theater Training Program, and holds a BFA from Western Kentucky University. He produces Voila! The Improvised Musical every Friday at 10PM at the iO Theater. He's represented by Talent X Alexander.
Danny Alonso
Danny is so happy to be performing with Wet Pizza. Danny studied improv through Malarkey Comedy, Logan Square Improv, and the iO program here in Chicago. Danny has since co-produced another unique short-form/long-form hybrid team Speed Limit 10. He is a southwest side Chicago native.When not doing improv, he enjoys running, being terrible at basketball, watching cartoons and watching people let animals bite or sting them on youtube.
Elijah Sloan
Elijah Sloan has been performing improv for over ten years now — a former DC resident, he was a longstanding part of Washington Improv Theater's Harold Program, their house team King Bee, and their murder mystery dramedy series, Citizens' Watch. He was a member of Unified Scene Theater's improvised Shakespeare troupe, The Artless Bards, as well as DC Fringe's improvised drama The Heist, which was awarded five stars. He was once booked to perform improv based on scientific lectures at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, a fact that continues to astound him. Since moving to Chicago, he's been a founding member of Spellbound at iO, and he has not stopped doing bits with his students, despite their frequent requests.
Heather Mari
HEATHER MARI is an actor, improviser, writer, content creator & dancer from Rockville, MD. Recent credits include: Big Deborah (iO Theater), Fire & Beer (The Annoyance), Clued-In (High Stakes Productions), Hitchcocktails (High Stakes Productions), Stir Friday Night (Asian American Theater Co.), GROWN MAN BABY (Blackout Cabaret at The Second City), IT’S A BAO DAMN TIME! (The Second City Victor Wong Fellowship), Fright: An Improvised Horror Movie (High Stakes Productions), Improvised DCOM (Malarkey Comedy), BIG Time (BIG Improv), The Greatest Sketch Show in America (BIG Improv), Wet Pizza (comedy troupe), A++ (comedy troupe), and Melk (comedy troupe).Heather has been featured on Funny or Die, The Second City Network, and Broadway World. Previously, Heather was a Saul Zaentz Film Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and trained in comedy at the iO Theater, The Annoyance, The Second City, The Groundlings, CIC Improv, and the Baltimore Improv Group. Kara Kinsey
Kara Kinsey is a multi-faceted writer, comedian, and performer known for captivating audiences with her indoor possum persona. With a unique blend of heart and horror, Kara explores in her comedy the worlds of lovable savage monsters otherwise known as women.
Kate Grogan
Kate Grogan is an improviser from Dallas, TX currently living in Chicago. She started performing improv in 2011 and has graduated from the training programs at the Dallas Comedy House, Stomping Ground Comedy Theater, iO, and The Annoyance.She has performed in two main stage sketch reviews at the Dallas Comedy House as well as weekly main stage short form house shows. She's currently a producer for People Presenting Things and can be seen performing across Chicago with iO's Megalodonna, Wet Pizza, Malarkey's Minor League, and Portal Prov.
