Jo Belangia

Jo Belangia

Jo Belangia (he/him, gay, Aquarius) is a Chicago-based comedian and actor with a penchant for playing down-on-their-luck characters who are optimistic against all odds. His comedy is built from the deep-seated trauma of growing up as a little gay boy in the American South. His friends and family would describe him as "a joy to have in class" with "a little sugar in him." He’s completed Second City's conservatory & grad revue program and the improv programs at iO and CIC.

Catch him at theaters around Chicago playing with his indie improv team, Blue Text Bubbles (IG: @bluetxtbubbles). If you want to keep tabs on him (and his calico cutie, Ishka), follow him @belangiajo on Instagram and TikTok.
