Technical Director
ROLE DESCRIPTION
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE & REPAIR:
-
Ensure that all technical equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and in good working order.

Troubleshooting capabilities for stage projectors, live audio equipment, and stage lighting systems.
-
Maintain the outdoor digital signage and bar AV systems.
MANAGEMENT:
-
Oversee and manage the stage management staff. The SM’s are responsible for operating lighting and sound during the show in addition to stage management.

Manage the SM shift schedule.
-
Train new SM’s on equipment and role responsibilities.
SHOW PRODUCTIONS:
-
Facilitate the building and installation of sets for Annoyance productions.
-
Maintain stage lighting, AV systems, and projectors for both theatre spaces.

Maintain camera equipment
-
Facilitate the filming schedule for shows.
-
Maintain live broadcasting AV system equipment.
-
Program live streamed events.
-
Provide technical support for special events in the bar area.
-
Provide technical support for special rental events.
SOFTWARE & APPLICATION EXPERIENCE:
-
Qlab 4 or 5
-
EOS family lighting console software (ETC lighting)

Video Editing programs (Premiere, Final cut, etc)
-
OBS (Live streaming)
SCHEDULE:

Tues-Sat

Sun/Monday off

40hr work week

Internships:
The Annoyance offers a variety of internships in exchange for classes. With these internships you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how the theatre operates and work in tandem with our staff to provide the best experience for our audience, students, and performers.
Types of Internships may include (depending upon availability when you apply):
Front of House: Work closely with our Managers and Bar staff to welcome and guide our patrons to have a great experience.
Weekend Theatre Monitor/Production Assistance: Open the theatre on Saturday or Sunday and provide access for rehearsals and classes; do light production work in the office and/or assist with monitoring any auditions that might be held.
Tech: Get experience running tech for shows and assisting our Technical Director, Sam MacNerland.
Social Media/Marketing: Work with our production team on marketing initiatives. This could include anything from passing out flyers to posting on our social media accounts.
Production: Get knowledge and hands-on experience in what it takes to run a comedy theatre.
