Workshop: You Already Did The Funny Thing with Jeff Quintana

Improvisers spend so much time searching for the games that they often miss all the funny shit they've already created. In this workshop, we'll explore how the first 30 seconds of a scene can reveal multiple games through your own comedic behaviors, your connection to your scene partner, and your connection to the audience. Through specific exercises and scene work, you'll learn to recognize these patterns, discover different levels of game, and build on what's already happening instead of constantly searching for something new.

Instructor Bio:

Jeff Quintana is a comedian, director, educator, and creator of The Circuit Method and the S.P.E.C.S. Performance System, developed through more than 23 years of continuous performance, teaching, and research. He has trained with nearly every major school of American improvisation and has taught at The Annoyance Theatre, iO Theater, Home Comedy Theater, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, One Group Mind, and The Playground Theater. Jeff headlines nationally with The Powerful Hourful starring Antonio Quintana, Motivational Speaker, an immersive avant-clown stand-up experience that blends improvisation, audience interaction, and physical comedy into a one-of-a-kind live performance.
