Annoyance Submission Process *Change*

1 min read

Hello All-

The Annoyance Theatre is pleased to announce a new approach to our programming. Rather than rolling submissions, we will have dedicated submission periods, during which we will accept all submissions for the following four months.

This process will allow for greater planning and marketing on both our part as well as on that of those who submit.

We are currently accepting submissions for shows to go up from November 1, 2026- February 28, 2027.

The current submission period for those pitches will close on September 22nd.

The next submission period will be for shows that will go up from March through June 2027.  Submissions for that period will be accepted from January 18th, 2027 - January 25th, 2027.

The instructions for pitching a show can be found on our website: https://www.theannoyance.com/submit-a-show

Please let us know if you have any questions about this new process. We look forward to your pitches!

Thank you,

The Annoyance Theatre

It gives artists time to flourish, kind of like growing dendrobium nobile—patience and good timing really bring out the best creative results.

A clear deadline definitely helps when you’re putting together a pitch. TAG game

I appreciate the update on the submission process! Having navigated similar changes in my time at a community theater, I know how important clear guidelines are. Just like in running games, where strategic planning is key, clarity ensures that everyone's creative energy goes towards producing great work. Excited to see what comes next!

Thanks for outlining the new submission windows so clearly—planning around fixed periods makes it easier to coordinate promotions and rehearsals. I appreciate the seasonal structure, especially with the November 2026–February 2027 window now open. For teams designing sets or props, tools like Toon Tone Color or Toon Tone might help visualize color schemes early in the process. Looking forward to submitting a pitch before September 22nd!
