Dummy in Diaspora, a coming of age solo show written and performed by Esho Rasho, follows Essa, a Middle Eastern American boy at various ages in his life. He smokes a lot of hookah and experiences early love, loss, and a nicotine demon that won't leave him alone. He confesses to us as he experiences. Momma and Baba are refugees, Essa really wants to be America. What Essa experiences isn’t short of chaotic and absurd.
