All the way from its one-year run in Los Angeles comes a brand new team built for Chicago! It's Asshole's Advocate, the court room show for situations that can't be taken to court. This improv show is based off the highly popular subreddit, Am I the Asshole. This long-standing online forum is where millions of people post their awkward social dilemmas or petty revenge and ask if they are the asshole in the situation. We take it a step further and bring in evidence and witnesses to prove that they are or are not the asshole.

Sprinkled throughout each story are opportunities for the audience to vote on what happens next. On March 23rd, 2012 a group of best friends attends the midnight showing of the most anticipated film of the millennium, The Hunger Games, only to find that their favorite book has been besmirched by an unfaithful adaptation. When their English class final project rolls around, they know what they must do - create a truly accurate adaptation, and restore honor to Suzanne Collins.

Enjoy an evening of off-the-cuff improv with some of the best emerging talent in the Chicago area. Fire & Beer is a fully improvised comedy show that explores the dark sides of life, relationships and human beings. The show features the Annoyance House Ensemble who excel at both long- and short-form improv. You can expect lots of laughs during this unpredictable improv show.

A two act improv show. First, Annoyance students get a chance to enter their IDs into a fishbowl to be randomly selected to perform in an improv jam with veteran Annoyance teachers and performers. Then, the night closes with a set from Sight Unseen, an Annoyance house team who, for almost the past decade, has been known for its loose narrative form and vibrant (sometimes vicious) characters.

Gay for Pay returns to the Annoyance with a sickening lineup of stand-up, sketch, and drag acts who will put their gay knowledge to the test to see who’s really gay for pay. Gifted Children is a three person sketch show from AJ Hernandez-Sortore, Alex Limarzi, and Miranda Bianchi. The Gifted Children will take you on a back to school journey through St. Louis, Disney World, gay wedding venues and of course, the classroom. always a good time, AND HAS FREE PIZZA?! Look no further than the Pizza Mic. The Pizza Mic (formerly at Pizza Serio) is, first and foremost, a safe space for all. Whether you’re a seasoned comic, an improvisor who’s always wanted to try standup, or you just decided that today’s the day for your first open mic (kudos) – The Pizza Mic is a great venue to workshop your bits. The show is every Tuesday from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Signup is online and the signup sheet is posted on Facebook & IG on Mondays. The list is emailed out a few hours before the show. Slay! elevates LGBT voices and challenges the community to laugh while they confront the hypocrisies and internalized homophobia that still lurks among us.The show incorporates a fundraising component for The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. Bennington Slipdale, III, is ridiculously overqualified and pathetically underskilled. And his name makes him sound like he's an heir to a sausage fortune. In actuality he's a penniless weiner of a man. Bennington struggles to survive a job that entails delivering mountains of boxes at a staggering pace. But if he's slow, his tech skills are glacial. Bennington has too much pride to quit, but not to worry - that false pride shouldn't stand in the way of him getting canned. It's the heart of COVID and Bennington is considered an "essential worker." But, he's not very “essential," and nobodies ever called him a “worker." Alas, our poor Bennington, he is not the heir to a fortune as his name implies. He would have been much more successful, and happier, as a Walmart greeter.

In the town of Mayfield, thirteen cliched horror movie characters find themselves at the murderous whims of a guy in a hockey mask.


Splatter Theater showcases the best performers from The Annoyance Theatre as cliche horror movie characters: Each murdered in wild, creative, bloody ways. With freshly painted white walls, the stage will be drenched in gallons of blood while both horrifying and delighting the audience along the way. Splatter Theater has been an annual tradition of Annoyance since its inception in 1987, and this production continues that hallowed tradition.

possessed film projector that shows you your own demise (with a jazz backing track)? A quilt whose seams will tie you in knots? Whatever the culprit, you'll be stunned at the twists and turns. Reader Beware!

There's plenty to sink your teeth into here for a howling good time this October at The Annoyance Theatre.
