About the Course:
Varieties & Styles is for the insatiable and aspiring physical comedian! A total ‘Time-Trip’ this course combs through history to surface both unconventional and modern means of physical comedy techniques. A portion of each class will be allocated for weekly performances created by students. Come practice some new, ancient, and just plain silly clowning & comedy philosophies to spice up or round out your performance game! In this course we’ll cover:

Slapstick & Stage Combat
Puppeteering
Stage & Clown Makeup
Track Gags & Walkaround Bits
Skill Sets
Physical Impressions
Working Without Words
Each class will feature different instructors focusing on different topics. As specific instructors get solidified, this page will be updated to reflect that.
Classes meet once a week on the same day each week, M-Thu 6:30-9pm and Sun 1-3:30pm
