The Untitled Medical Dramedy Sketch Show is a 50-minute sketch revue with performances at The Annoyance on Thursday, March 20 at 6:00pm, Friday, March 21 at 7:00pm with a likely 8:00pm show on March 21 to be added based on ticket sales for our first two curtains. This sketch show will feature sketches about experiences going to the doctor as a female in America. Some material has been written, but we're looking for more material and more voices in the process. Have you been a woman at the doctor? We want your satire. Think Rosie the Riveter, but if she was pointing like Uncle Sam.
We are seeking 5-7 additional writers and/or performers to contribute to the sketch show created by Izzy Salhani and directed by Ashley Connell. We highly encourage female-identifying, POC, LGBTQIA+, and non-binary performers to submit.
Auditions will be held at The Annoyance Theatre in the small theater on Saturday, January 25 from 11:45am-2:40pm. We will be sending you a Google Form to collect your headshot, resume, availability, and any writing samples or pitch material that aligns with the show's theme. This form MUST BE COMPLETED prior to your audition to be considered. The auditions will consist of brief introductions, short improv scenes, cold reading sketches, and a pitching exercise - you will be asked to prepare a premise for a sketch you think would fit the show's theme to pitch at the audition.
Rehearsals will be scheduled based on cast availability and will be held at The Annoyance Theatre - you will be asked for your availability in the Google Form prior to the audition and that will be considered for casting.Â
If audition spots fill up, we will have stand-by slots - so you can come to The Annoyance Theatre between 11:45am-2:40pm and we will try our best to squeeze you into the next available audition slot.
